Dear Chris

Further to our discussion on Wednesday regarding the Lend a Hand group and the possibility of a further contract. The management committee would like to extend our thanks for the work which has been undertaken in under six months. Without this invaluable assistance many of these projects would still be on the to do list and some would never have happened.

The camp is totally self funded all profit being put back into the camp and keeping cost as low as possible for our youth members. The work at the camp is mainly carried out by a small group of volunteers and much of our work is maintenance and safety inspections that have to be carried out on a regular basis, and this does not leave much time for projects. Although we manage to complete a couple of projects each year, hence the difference your group has made to the camp

The levelling and re planting of the parade ground has been needed for almost thirty years and what a major step forward to see grass growing in this area .

We are also very pleased with the work done by Lend a Hand in removing dangerous trees and branches and mulching the smaller branches. Also the inspection of the trees in the camp as we do not have the expertise that your trainers have.

We are more than happy for Lend a Hand to continue using our site for their training activities as there will always be a supply of logs etc for them to use.

If there is any possibility of a further period of assistance from Lend a Hand there are a few projects that we have identified with the group which as well as being a major help to the camp would provide a wide range of useful skills training for the participants.

We again thank you for what you have achieved which will be of great value to the youth members and other groups using the camp
